Information we collect
- The active tab's title, shown in the popup.
- Article content, processed locally in that tab only after you choose Reader Mode or Copy as Markdown.
Nothing above is transmitted off your device — it stays in the browser tab for the duration of the action you chose.
What Tidy Page does not do
- No page content, URLs, or usage events are transmitted anywhere.
- No browsing history, analytics, or telemetry is collected.
- No account, sign-in, or personal data is required.
- No data is sold, shared, or used for advertising or profiling.
Third-party services
None. Tidy Page does not call any external server or AI service — all processing happens locally in your browser using the packaged extension code.
Data storage and retention
Tidy Page does not store any data, locally or remotely, beyond the current browser tab session.
Permissions
activeTab— temporary access to the current tab after you open Tidy Page.scripting— injects the packaged Reader Mode and article-extraction code into that tab on demand; no remote code is downloaded or executed.clipboardWrite— copies the Markdown you request to the system clipboard.
International users
Tidy Page processes everything locally in your browser, so no data about you crosses any border in the first place — there is nothing for us to transfer or store on servers in any jurisdiction.
Children's privacy
Tidy Page is not directed at children under 13, and since it collects no personal data, it does not knowingly process data from them.
